Twin Vapourising Burner Range Cooker Servicing

(This will include the Rayburn Oil Nouvelle/368K)

If you run your twin vapourising burner range cooker throughout the year, using either or both burners it is advisable to have that burner serviced every 6-months (twice a year).

If you only run one of the burners through the year, only one should  generally be serviced every 6 months (Twice a year).

If you use for example, your heating burner of the twin burner set, during the winter, then only one service per year is generally required on that burner as follows:

1). Cooker burner used summer & winter – serviced every 6 months.

2). Cooker burner used only during winter – serviced every 12 months.

3). Cooker and boiler burner used summer & winter – both serviced every 6 months.

4). Cooker burner used only during summer – serviced every 12 months.

5). Boiler burner used only during the summer – serviced every 12 months.

6). Boiler burner used only during the winter – serviced every 12 months.

The above service requirements will depend on factors such as preferred running temperature of the burner or burners, chimney/flue draught etc.

If you only use your boiler burner only during the winter, it is recommended both burners be inspected and serviced at the start of the heating season, so any problems can be identified and put right before you make use of your cooker.

Why it is important to have your Range Cooker serviced once or twice a year.

1). To ensure the burners and cooker are safe to use and do not put you, your family and your neighbours at risk.

2). To ensure it works correctly and in the most efficient way.

3). To reduce the risk of it breaking down, just when you need it the most.

4). To identify potential problems and sort them out before they become bigger issues.

5). If your Range cooker is under warranty, regular servicing must be undertaken by either the manufacturer or approved distributor (Example – AGA/Rayburn).

6). To assess the ongoing condition of your cooker and determine if critical repairs are needed or replacement of the cooker is required.
